Piano Notes for Numberblock 4’s “Square Hunt” Song: A Guide for Non-Musician Mums
A free printable with simplified letter notes and a white-key guide for Numberblock 4’s Square Hunt song.
My six-year-old’s love of Numberblocks has recently found its way into his piano lessons. He decided that piano practice should include one very particular piece: Numberblock 4’s “Square Hunt” song. Once the idea took hold, he was determined to make it happen.
What began as a polite request to his piano teacher became a regular topic at his weekly lessons. Eventually, he turned to me, convinced that I should be able to work out the notes for him. His confidence in my musical abilities was rather greater than my own.
I am not a musician, and I do not play the piano, but I wanted to help him bring these two interests together. So I put together a simplified, colour-coded guide using letter names for the notes. The idea was to give him something he could follow easily, matching the letters and colours in the guide to the white keys on his keyboard.
I’m sharing the guide I made for Isaac in case another parent is fielding the same enthusiastic request. If your little Numberblocks fan is hoping to bring “Square Hunt” to the piano, you’re very welcome to save it and give it a try.
